Recently, Shiyan No. 9 Middle School actively responded to the call from higher authorities and successfully carried out the second dose vaccination of the HPV vaccine for middle school-aged girls, adding a solid guarantee for the healthy growth of students.
Cervical cancer is a malignant tumor that poses a serious threat to women's health globally, with high incidence and mortality rates persisting over time. Infection with the human papillomavirus (HPV) is the main cause. Vaccination against the HPV vaccine is currently the most effective means of preventing cervical cancer, especially for girls aged 9 to 14, as early vaccination can achieve the best preventive effect.
During the preparation phase for the vaccination, the school attached great importance to the matter, actively communicating and coordinating with the vaccination unit, and developed a detailed and comprehensive vaccination plan. The school disseminated knowledge about HPV vaccination to students and parents through various channels, including holding special lectures and distributing promotional materials, ensuring that everyone fully understood the role of the HPV vaccine, the vaccination process, and precautions, effectively enhancing the awareness and acceptance of vaccination among students and parents.
On the day of vaccination, the scene was orderly. Students lined up in an organized manner under the guidance of teachers for vaccination. Medical staff strictly followed operational protocols, carefully inquiring about the students' health conditions, diligently registering information, administering vaccinations, and observing after vaccination to ensure the process was safe and efficient. Regarding potential adverse reactions after vaccination, medical staff informed students and parents in advance and made appropriate emergency response preparations.
This second dose of HPV vaccination not only provides strong protection for the health of eligible girls in our school but also reflects the high importance that the school and parents place on students' health. In the future, the school will continue to strengthen cooperation with all parties, maintain attention to students' physical and mental health, and carry out more beneficial health promotion activities to create a better environment for students' growth.
